Sentence diagramming is a graphic organizer that helps students make sense of sentence structure. Used as one of many analytical tools, as in Daily Grammar Practice, it can greatly impact writing skills and even reading skills as well.

Teachers often ask how to help students make the connection between grammar and writing. When students truly understand grammar and sentence structure, this connection should happen naturally. But I also like to be intentional about it in my classroom. The primary way I do that is by using focus and annotation. Learn more in this video!
